Hey there, I’m Daniel Crawford, the owner and founder of RCATX full form Roof Cleaning Austin TX. If you had told me ten years ago that I’d be running a roof cleaning business in Austin, I probably would have laughed and said, “Yeah, right.” But life has a funny way of showing you where you’re meant to be.

Growing up in Austin, I was always drawn to how this city blends old-school charm with modern vibes. As a kid, I’d spend summers helping my dad with odd jobs around the house—fixing gutters, patching roofs, painting fences—you name it. Little did I know, those weekends with him would plant the seeds for what would become RCATX.

Fast forward to 2015, I was working as a handyman, taking on all kinds of projects to make ends meet. One day, I got a call from a neighbor who needed help with their roof. What started as a quick fix turned into a much bigger project when I noticed just how much dirt, algae, and moss had built up on their shingles. The transformation after I cleaned it was unbelievable—like giving the house a whole new lease on life. That moment stuck with me.

I started thinking: why wasn’t there an easy, reliable option for homeowners to get their roofs cleaned without worrying about damage or overpaying? That thought turned into action. I began learning everything I could about roof cleaning—testing different methods, investing in equipment, and figuring out how to do it the right way.

By 2016, RCATX was officially born. At first, it was just me, my truck, and a second-hand pressure washer, driving all over Austin and surrounding neighborhoods. Every roof I cleaned gave me more confidence that this was the right path. Over time, word spread, and RCATX grew from a one-man show to a trusted team serving homes and businesses all across the city.
